CNN reports on a survey finding that 95% of Americans have premarital sex. The study was conducted by a “think tank” which opposes (”challenges”)the government’s funding of “abstinence before marriage” education. Naturally, the study would be suspect for its conflict of interest bias. Given that 37% of the nation also claims to be devout Christians and over 87% to be “religious”, there appears to be a rather wide chasm between the moral precepts that supposedly underly religiosity and the actual practice of “Christian” morality.
