windfall profit tax… a thought

Lord knows we need lots of tax revenue in this state. Since Vermont Yankee did so well, we figured we could hit them up again. If we like this idea, I have another one. For very much the same reasons as Vermont Yankee had some “extra” profits (the cost of energy) so too will our local farmers! With corn fetching a premium thanks to our (taxes) subsidizing ethanol (for energy independence!) corn and other feed has risen significantly… and not because of anything the farmers did! Windfall profits! There for the taking.
