Sanibel Island Vermont

We  recently attended a wedding on Sanibel Island, Florida.  Not coincidentally we were seated at the reception with some island residents who both were formerly “born and bred” Vermonters.

Quite innocently (chatting about the weather) I asked why they decided to leave Vermont for Sanibel;

“Duh!  Any other stupid questions!”

The answer, it turns out -  taxes.

Won’t be asking that question again.
