Ethan Shepard is a pseudonym. I am not trying to hide anything, but writing under an assumed name allows for a little more candor. The underlying author’s roots go back in this State to the “Dorset Conventions” - and earlier. While I have not always lived here, the genes keep me coming back - and most recently I’ve been back for eight years. And of course each time I come back, things have changed. I expect they will keep changing. And consequently, I’m not sure how much longer I can stay in this lovely state.
